to Common Patient Questions
Allersearch®
X-MITE contains
a non-toxic tannic acid
formulation. The modified
tannin extracts which
alter allergens are
naturally derived from
plants similar to the
tea plant. Allersearch®
X-MITE comes in
an environmentally safe
dispenser.
What
areas of the house should
be treated?
Ideally, carpets
and upholstered furniture
throughout the entire
house should be treated,
with special attention
to bedroom carpets and
furnishings.
How
often do I need to re-treat
my home?
Re-treatment is recommended
approximately every
four to six months for
continued protection.
What
will Allersearch® X-MITE
do for me?
Effective control
of asthma can be achieved
by following your doctor's
medication plan. It
is also important to
reduce trigger factors
where possible. Allersearch®
reduces one of the major
allergy triggers --
allergens from the house
dust mite, as well as
those from grass and
plant pollens, cat and
pet dander, and from
other insects.
It
has been shown that
dust mite avoidance
procedures are able
to reduce airway inflammation
in mite sensitive asthma
patients over a number
of months.² In contrast
nasal symptoms may show
immediate improvement.
